Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad will take oath as MP of the 10th parliament, said his wife and party presidium member Raushan Ershad on Wednesday.
“He is very much there (with us) and inspiring us. He has been hospitalised as he fell ill. He has been there so that he doesn’t feel pressure physically. He’ll be discharged within a few days. We’re doing everything as per his direction,” she said.
The former first lady said this while addressing a press conference at Jatiya Sangsad’s media center.
Ershad, know for changing his mind frequently, has been elected MP from Rangpur-3 constituency.
Meanwhile, officials in parliament said the newly elected MPs will take oath on Thursday.
