Dhaka, Oct 8 (UNB)- Mobile operator Grameenphone launched its 3G services for its customers of Basundhara and Baridhara areas on commercial basis on Tuesday.
Other areas of Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Gazipur and Narayangonj will be covered with 3G network within the next few weeks, Grameenphone officials said.
A big bicycle rally was held in Bashundhara residential area to mark the commercial launching of 3G services.
A Boy’s Scout Band also marched around the area. Brand promoters of the company also visited different institutions and offices of the area.
Customers and visitors were invited at GP House to make video calls to the celebrities. Rajeeb Bhattacharjee, Head of Marketing of Grameenphone, inaugurated the customer experience session.
From now, Grameenphone customers within the coverage areas will be able to use 3G packages of Grameenphone. The operator initially is offering three packages in two speed tiers.
