Cabinet Secretary Sheikh Abdur Rashid, who was serving on a contractual appointment, resigned today.
“I had previously expressed my wish to resign, and it has been implemented today. I am no longer in charge from today,” Sheikh Abdur Rashid told The Daily Star on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Administration has issued a notification appointing the Chief Adviser’s Principal Secretary, M Siraj Uddin Mia, to the additional charge of cabinet secretary. He currently serves as a contractual officer.
