‘PM Hasina should be awarded Nobel Peace Prize’
Finance minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday said prime minister Sheikh Hasina should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for giving shelter to Rohingyas, reports UNB.
“Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made history of humanity by giving shelter to refugees. In the same way, prime minister Sheikh Hasina gave shelter to Rohingyas in a densely populated country on humanitarian grounds. They both should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize,” he said.
The minister made the remarks during a meeting with speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Sentop, says a press release.
Highlighting the overall progress of Bangladesh, he urged Turkish entrepreneurs to make more investment in the country. “The Bangladesh government will help them if they want to invest in special economic zones of the country,” he said.
With the best investment-friendly environment among the South Asian countries, Bangladesh provides opportunity of making huge profit by taking advantage of incentives, Mustafa Kamal said.
He also thanked Turkey for their positive response to investing in electronics, medicine and gas sectors of Bangladesh.
