The BNP-led 18-party opposition combine has called a 72-hour countrywide blockade from 6:00am tomorrow demanding cancellation of the schedule of the parliamentary polls and holding election under a non-party government.
Nazrul Islam Khan, a standing committee member of the main opposition which leads the opposition political alliance, announced the blockade at a press conference at party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office this evening.
Addresing the the press conference, the BNP leader also demanded immediate release of top BNP leaders.
The opposition already enforced 13 days blockade in last 20 days from November 27 to December 16.
The opposition observed a 2-day rail, road and waterway blockade from November 27, five days from December 1 and 6 days from December 7.
