Sunday’s general elections held in 139 constituencies had a 40 percent turnout, according to the Election Commission.
Polling in the halted centres in eight constituencies will take place on Jan 16.
As many as 153 seats, among 300, returned winners without contest, as the BNP-led Opposition alliance had boycotted the polls.
The Opposition, working to thwart the polls, was blamed for clashes and attacks at various polling stations during Sunday’s polling.
At least 21 people had reportedly died in poll-related violence.
Voting took place at 17,249 polling centres, but balloting was halted at 205 centres due to violence.
According to the EC, around 41.5 million people had voted in 139 constituencies, while around 250,000 votes were cancelled.
