Three Bangladeshi young entrepreneurs have won ‘Professional Fellows Exchange Program 2016’ fellowship under the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the US State Department.
The US Embassy in Dhaka and the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development at BRAC University announced the winners’ names at a pre-departure orientation programme held at the GDLN Centre, BRAC University in the city on Monday, said a press release on Tuesday.
The three participants are Naureen Ayesha, co-founder and head of operation at HAUS, Zahid Hossain Khan, co-founder at Moner Bondhu and Niloy Das, chief executive officer at Surge Engineering.
The fellowship is hosted by the University of Oklahoma’s Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication and teamed up with the Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth (CCEW).
The fellows, who will visit the US from 20 October to 20 November, were selected following a strict three-fold scrutiny from Bangladesh.
