The BNP-led 20-party has rescheduled its Thursday’s rally in Natore district for Saturday.

“The 20-party’s rally in Natore will be held on Saturday instead of Thursday,” BNP chairperson’s press wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan told UNB on Monday night.

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will address the rally to mobilise public support in favour of their demand for a fresh election under a non-party administration.

The local unit of the 20-party alliance will arrange the rally as part of its fresh countrywide mass campaign programme to create a solid ground for a decisive movement to force the current administration to quit and arrange a fresh inclusive election.

The mass campaign is also meant for mounting pressure on the government to stop extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances and repressive acts, and restore the democratic rights of people.

This will be Khaleda’s 7th district tour after the January-5 election boycotted by the BNP-led opposition alliance.

Earlier, Khaleda went to Rajbari on March 1, Munshiganj on May 28, Joypurhat on June 22, Brahmanbaria on September 23, Jamalpur on September 27 and in Nilphamari October 23 where she addressed public rallies.
