Two people were killed in an attack allegedly by their nephew at Gobindal of Singair on Sunday.
Jahidul, who had an enmity with his maternal uncles over a piece of land, locked into an altercation with them over the issue around 7:30 am, said Syeduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Singair Police Station, reports Untied News of Bangladesh.
The altercation between the supporters of Jahidul and his uncles’ family members turned into a clash.
At one stage, Jahidul along with his supporters stabbed his uncles Aziz Molla, 50 and Nannu Mollah, 40 with a sharp weapon, leaving them dead on the spot.
The clash also left six people injured from both sides.
Among the injured, Karim, Jahidul’s another uncle, was rushed to Savar Enam Medical College Hospital while the others were admitted to a local hospital.’
