Two Bangladeshi workers who were injured in Friday’s Bahrain blaze died on Monday, foreign ministry officials said.
The number of Bangladeshis killed in the devastating fire now stands at 13.
One of the two deceased was identified as Mofizul Islam, son of Joynal Abdin of Sadar Dakkhin upazila in Comilla, Shameem Ahsan, director general of External Publicity Wing of the foreign ministry.
The fire that gutted a labour camp in Manama on Friday afternoon left at least 13 people including 11 Bangladeshi workers dead and two injured.
The roof of the three-storey building caved in, as the deadly blaze swept through the camp, situated in the crowded Mukharga neighbourhood in the Bahraini capital. It took the fire-fighters around six hours to tame the flames at the 26-room unauthorised structure.
Most of the occupants of the building were Bangladeshis, living in crammed conditions.A
