14 Bangladeshis detained in Malaysia

The Malaysia government has detained 14 Bangladeshis for staying there illegally.

Malaysian national news agency Bernama has reported this on Monday.

Kedah immigration department detained them during an operation at a construction site in km13.5 of the North South Expressway near Changlun, the report said.

“The illegal immigrants were detained for not having valid travel documents and misusing social visit passes,” Kedah Immigration Department enforcement chief Nar Azaman Ibrahim said.

Moreover, 25 illegal immigrants from Myanmar and 13 Indonesians were also detained.

In the last several months, they are many Bangladeshi workers were detained by the Malaysian government for staying illegal in the country.

Malaysia is one of the countries where there are many Bangladeshi people are working.
