The secretary level committee on pay hike for public servants on Wednesday submitted its recommendations to finance minister AMA Muhith with highest pay Tk 75,000 and lowest Tk 8,250.
The committee also favoured abolishing time scale and selection grade.
The cabinet committee led by cabinet secretary Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan submitted the report this morning.
The committee, however, wanted the government to keep existence of 20 grades as proposed by the 8th National Pay and Service Commission in last December.
Finance minister AMA Muhith made the disclosure while talking to the reporters after a meeting of cabinet committee on national purchase and economic affairs.
Muhith said the necessary pay hike would be implemented from next July.
