Protesters send back minister Tofail as he drives through wrong lane

Students demonstrating for road safety on Wednesday sent back commerce minister Tofail Ahmed as was heading towards Bangla Motors from Shabagh through wrong lane of the street.

The protesters stopped Tofail’s BMW car along with the police protection van near Bangla Motors at around 1:40pm as he was proceeding with the flag-car violating traffic rules.

As the minister’s bodyguards and members on his protection team requested the protesters to allow the ministrer to go, they chanted slogan ‘law is equal for all.’

The minister also got off the car and talked to the protesters and they again chanted slogan ‘we want justice’.

At one stage, the protesters sat down in front of the car and the minister finally went back towards Shahbagh.
