PM visits Gaibandha Saturday

 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will tour Gaibandha on Saturday on a day-long visit to meet the family members of those killed and wounded in the recent polls related violence.

 

She will exchange views at Gaibandha Circuit House at 12.45 pm with the family members of those killed and wounded in the recent violence allegedly unleashed by BNP and Jamaat-Shibir terrorists.

 

In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of a number of development projects from the Shah Abdul Hamid Stadium in Gaibandha before addressing a public rally to be organised by local Awami League.

 

She will inaugurate Gobindaganj Fire Service and Civil Defense Station, Gaibandha Textile Vocational Institute, six food godowns with capacity of 1000 metric tons, upgradation of 31-bed upazila hospitals to 50-bed at Saghata, Palashbari and Sundarganj upazilas, and an EPI store in the district through unveiling plaques.

 

Besides, Sheikh Hasina will lay the foundation stones of the Palashbari Thana Building, Fulchhari Thana Building, District Muktijoddha Sangsad Complex, Gobindaganj Upazila Livestock Development Centre, Gaibandha Technical Training Centre, gallery extension work of Gaibandha Shah Abdul Hamid Stadium, 1490-metre PC girder bridge on the Teesta River on the connecting road with Sundarganj-Chilmari Road and 360- metre PC girder bridge on the Katakhali river on Bonarpara UP Office- Ramnagar Bazaar Road under Saghata upazila.
