LG, JAAGO tie up to build IT academy

Jaago Foundation and LG Electronics Bangladesh sign a memorandum of understanding, to build an IT academy, at Jaago Foundation’s central office in Dhaka on Tuesday.

JAAGO Foundation is going to establish an IT Academy with the financial assistance of LG Electronics Bangladesh for the children at JAAGO School to facilitate them to have ICT education for competing in the digital era.
To this end, LG Electronics and JAAGO Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Tuesday. Managing director of LG Electronics Bangladesh Edward Kim and founder and chairman of JAAGO Foundation Korvi Rakshand signed the MoU at JAAGO office in the capital’s Rayerbazar, said a press release.
Children can learn computer and information technology in their academy curricula. The establishment works will be completed by December 2016 and the academy will be opened in January 2017.
Edward Kim said, ‘LG is trying to bring comfort and ensure sustainable development in human life through its electronic innovation. We also believe that poverty can be eradicated through education.’
