Jamaat to hold protest rally Thursday

The protest rally would be a peaceful programme, says Shafiqur Rahman, acting secretary general of Jamaat

Jamaat-e-Islami will hold a protest rally across the country on Thursday demanding to stop killing the party men and repression on them.

Shafiqur Rahman, acting secretary general of the party, Wednesday made the disclosure at a press release.

The protest rally would be a peaceful programme, he said.

“The government is killing the party men using joint forces’ drives. Some 26 Jamaat-Shibir men have been killed in the last two weeks,” Shafiqur made the allegation.

He also demanded to the government to stop killing, arrest, ransacking of the houses and repression on party men throughout the country.
