 A 14-member business delegation of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) left here on Monday to attend the 8th World Chambers Congress (WCC) being held in Doha, Qatar.

DCCI president M Sabur Khan is leading the delegation as part of the International Chamber of Commerce-Bangladesh (ICCB-B), said a DCCI press release on Monday.

Over four days (Apr 22-25), the Congress will feature an exciting programme, including plenary and working sessions and networking opportunities, all designed to build a stronger global chamber community, fostering economic development and prosperity for all.

ICC Bangladesh president Mahbubur Rahman will lead the Bangladesh delegation to the World Chambers Congress being held at Qatar National Convention Centre.

The event brings together chambers of commerce and their leaders from around the world to share, learn and build new networks of business opportunity.

The business delegation will hold various bilateral talks with an aim to expand trade and boost investment.

They will also hold meetings with the chambers of Bahrain, Dubai and Abu Dhabi from April 26 to April 30.

International Chamber of Commerce, ICC World Chambers Federation and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry are jointly hosting the congress.

The DCCI delegation members include its senior vice president Nesar Maksud Khan, directors Haider Ahmad Khan, Abul Hossain, convener SM Zillur Rahman and Rakib Mohammad Fakhrul.
