Tamimul Islam has won gold in men’s archery event at Samoa 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games.
In women’s archery Nandini Khan Swapna has won bronze, Bangladesh Archery Federation Vice President Shoeb Chowdhury told bdnews24.com.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has congratulated the medal winners and other Bangladesh sportspersons participating in the competition.
The fifth edition of the competition kicked off on Sep 5 in Samoa in the Polynesian region of the Pacific Ocean.
It will end on Sep 11.
About a thousand athletes from the Commonwealth countries are competing in nine sports like aquatics, athletics, tennis, weightlifting.
