Young opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim continued his good run in the intra-squad practise match among the High Performance cricketers. The left-hander struck a blistering 46-ball 73 to help Team ‘B’ post a commendable 194 for 6 in 20 overs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today.
After Tamim’s blitz, Team ‘A’ were bundled out for just 94 runs as Team ‘B’ secured a commanding 100-run victory.
Electing to bat, Team ‘B’ rode on Tamim’s blistering knock, featuring five sixes and six fours, and Akbar Ali’s 47 off just 20 deliveries to post a big total.
In reply, Naim Sheikh’s 28 was the highest score for team ‘A’ as none of the batters were able to make a mark and were eventually bundled out with three overs to spare.
Rejaur Raja was the pick of the bowlers bagging three wickets while Shahin Alam, Rishad Hossain and Mukidul Islam Mugdho scalped two wickets each for team ‘B’.
