The World Accreditation Day will be observed in the country as elsewhere in the world on Monday.
The year’s theme of the day is: ‘Accreditation: Delivering confidence in the provision of energy)
Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) has chalked out an elaborate programme on this occasion.
President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have issued separate message on the eve of the day.
As part of the programme, BAB and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) will jointly organise a seminar at the chamber’s auditorium in the capital on the day.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu is expected to attend the seminar as the chief guest while State Minister for Power Nasrul Hamid , Industries secretary M Moinuddin Abdullah and DCCI president M Shahjahan Khan as special guests.
On the occasion, state-run Bangladesh Television (BTV) will broadcast special programmes highlighting the significance of the day while telecom companies will send SMS to make people aware of accreditation.
