West Indies have comprehensively defeated Bangladesh by 10 wickets in the first Test of the two Test match series at St. Vincent on Tuesday.
Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim’s heroic ton was not enough to save his team from the embarrassing defeat against host West Indies in the first Test.
Bangladesh came into bat on the fifth day trailing by 46 runs with Mushfiqur Rahim batting at 70 runs.
Bangladeshi fans thought that they will manage to save this Test match, but it did not happen. The last four batsmen went back to the pavilion without even disturbing the scoreboard.
Mushfiqur Rahim tried to hold the Bangladeshi innings from one side but he never got the support he required from his teammates other than Mahmudullah who also scored a gritty half-century.
Rahim also brought up his second Test century on the final day of the first Test by hitting Kemar Roach for a huge six over the long on.
They could only manage to get a lead of 12 runs, which the West Indies openers finished off, in style. This was yet another disappointing performance from the visitors in this ongoing tour.
