Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will remove the wastes of cattle haats and slaughtered animals from the city within 36 hour of the first day of Eid-ul-Azha, said DNCC administrator Faruq Jamil on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference at DNCC office, the administrator noted that they will distribute environment-friendly polythene bags among people through visiting cattle haats of the city and give advice to dump the wastes of the slaughtered animals in those bags.
With the use of the environment-friendly bags, the waste disposal after the Eid will become easier, Jamil said.
He said a number of waste disposal vehicles will be used by the DNCC to ensure the cleanliness of the city.
Besides, water tank carrying vehicles of the fire service will be used to wash out the wastes from the city streets, he added.
