LGRD Minister and Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam on Saturday said the trial of other accused war criminals will be completed and their sentences will be executed accordingly.
“Quader Mollah has been hanged for his war crimes. Many had said the government would not able to try the war criminals. But, the verdict against Quader Mollah has been executed and the other war criminals will be tried accordingly,” he said.
The Awami League leader made the remarks while talking to reporters after placing wreaths at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial at city’s Mirpur, marking the Martyred Intellectuals Day.
Syed Ashraf said everything is possible under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. “It’s also possible to bring back the convicted fugitive war criminals living abroad to execute their sentences,” he added.
