The US will review the Generalised System of Preferences (GSP) facilities for Bangladesh in December, Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque said Wednesday.
The foreign secretary was talking to newsmen after a meeting with US Ambassador in Dhaka Dan W Mozena at his office.
Details about Bangladesh’s action plan and how the country is proceeding to ensure workers’ safety and labour rights and recruitment of inspector etc and amendment of labour law were discussed during the meeting, he informed.
Commerce Secretary Mahbub Ahmed and Labour and Employment Secretary Mikail Shipar were also present at the meeting.
