The United Kingdom has alerted its citizens staying in or willing to visit Bangladesh about potential terrorist threat after the Hoseni Dalani blast that killed one and injured over 100 people.
In its latest travel update, the British foreign and commonwealth office also asked Westerners to keep a low profile in all public spaces.
“There is a high threat from terrorism. Further attacks targeting Westerners may occur,” read the travel advice.
The office advised “against all but essential travel to the Chittagong Hill Tracts” (CHT).
“The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) has claimed responsibility for the recent murders of two foreign nationals. Further attacks targeting westerners may occur and could be indiscriminate,” the travel advice reiterated.
“You should be particularly vigilant, consider your movements carefully,” it added.
The Western countries issued similar travel alerts before and after the attacks on and killing of two foreign nationals recently.
