Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon on Friday said the ‘train of militancy’ would have to be stopped at any cost to build a Bangladesh free from communalism.
“All will have to work jointly to keep the wheel of progress moving. Evil activities of the defeated forces will have to be resisted at any cost,” he said seeking stronger unity among the progressive forces.
Menon made the observations while addressing the inaugural ceremony of a fair arranged in memory of Comrade Amol Sen at Bakri in Jessore district, says a handout.
He said the present government is determined to do everything possible to protect the minority communities from the hands of evil forces and ensure a panic-free environment for them.
Later, the Minister placed wreath at the statue of Amol Sen at Narail in memory of late veteran of anti-British movements including the historic Tebhaga movement.
