Bangladesh supporters are changing their profile pictures on Facebook expressing their support to the Tigers for the Asia Cup T20 final against India.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has taken the initiative. BCB’s Digital and Social Media Wing brought the offer to the millions of fans of Bangladesh Cricket as part of the Tiger’s campaign on the road to the ICC World T20, says the official fan page of Bangladesh Cricket.
Facebook added the option in one of its application prior to the ICC World Twenty20 Cup scheduled to begin on March 8. With the application, users can change their profile pictures in support of different sport events including Bundesliga, La Liga, NCAA Football and UEFA.
Apart from Bangladeshis, several Facebook users from other countries also wished Bangladesh Team good luck for the match.
“GOOD LUCK TO BANGALADESI BANDHU from Nepal.. With respect n love,” wrote one Damodar Upadhyaya from Nepal.
Expressing support for the Tigers, Yaseen Gardiwal from Afghanistan said: “As a afghan I want to support bangladesh hop bangali tiger play well. Good luck bangali tiger.”
Saleem Malik from Pakistan wrote: “I praying and making dua for you guys, Pakistani people supporting you Bangladeshi brothers and Sisters, we hope your team, you deserve the cup.”
The official Facebook page of Bangladesh Cricket Team also urged the Tigers’ fans to use the profile picture in solidarity with the team.
It called all to get united in support for the Tigers.
Bangladesh will face India in the Asia Cup T20 final match at 7:30pm Sunday at Mirpur She-e-Bangla Stadium
