Unidentified people on Wednesday set a teachers’ bus of Jagannath University on Old Dhaka on fire on the campus.
The bus was parked in front of the university’s academic building and it was set on fire at around 11:30am leaving it badly damaged.
The university authorities have formed 3-member probe body led by Nur-e-Alam Abdullah, head of university’s transport administration, to investigate the incident, said registrar Md Ohiduzzaman said.
The miscreants fled the scene immediate after torching the bus and employees of the university doused the flame, said acting proctor Noor Mohammad.
A case was filed over the attack with Kotwali police station, he added.
