Fakhrul says Tarique called to embrace the new changes in politics

BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said Tarique Rahman was concerned about the country even while staying far away from it.

The BNP spokesperson made the statement while addressing a programme at the National Press Club on Thursday afternoon.

Fakhrul said: “Despite of staying in abroad, Tarique Rahman, senior vice-chairman of the party, still expresses his concern about the country.”

Mentioning that some people are trying to become important by criticizing Tarique Rahman, he said: “They started criticizing him as Tarique started organising the party from the grassroots level.”

Claiming that a series of propaganda has been spread against Tarique, he said: “Quarters spread the propaganda as Tarique proposed a new politics to come out from the conventional political culture.”

He said Tarique called to embrace the new changes in politics.
