Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury will lead the Bangladesh delegation that will attend the March 26 swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi, the next premier of India.
Shirin Sharmin, who visited India in February, told the Dhaka Tribune that she would fly to Delhi on March 25 and return home on March 28.
She will lead the Bangladesh delegation as the Prime MInister Sheikh Hasina would fly to Tokyo on May 24 on a five-day visit.
On Wednesday, Narendra Modi invited all government headsof the member states of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) to attend or dispatch their representatives to the oath taking ceremony on March 26.
The speaker said she was yet to get detailed of the itinerary of the upcoming visit.
Shirin Sharmin said she may meet some leaders at the sidelines of the ceremony.
