Banned Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan has asked for the fans’ blessings during his “tough times”.
“… please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I always do for you. I love you all,” said the status in his Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon.
The BCB slapped a six-month ban Monday on the world’s top allrounder for breaching team discipline. In addition, he will not get any No-Objection Certificate from the board, required to play tournaments outside the country, for the next 18 months.
Shakib’s behavioural problem is bringing disaster for the nation’s cricket. So he was delivered the exemplary punishment, said BCB President Nazmul Hasan after announcing the ban.
The 27-year-old has claimed to be a patriot in his Facebook status on the following day.
“My country means more than anything else to me and I intend to fight for my country and my fellow countrymen at every opportunity I get.”

‘I play every moment keeping this love and emotion with me,” he also said
Shakib has expressed gratitude to fans, in the English status, for supporting him constantly.
“I am truly overwhelmed by all the love and support I have received from you in the past and even more so now,” he further said.
