The education ministry has rescheduled Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations once again due to the BNP-sponsored shutdown on top of a non-stop blockade.
Tests slated for Wednesday (Feb 4) will be held from 10am to 1pm Saturday (Feb 7) as the BNP-led alliance extended its ongoing shutdown to 6pm Thursday.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid announced the new test schedule at an emergency media briefing on Tuesday.

Parents and guardians say the examinees are extremely anxious and cannot focus on their studies.
“It’s not that the exams are only delayed, it will affect the morale of the students and we have to pay for that for many years,” Nahid said at the briefing at the Secretariat.
