Salman F Rahman on world billionaires’ list

Business tycoon Salman F Rahman has been placed on the billionaires list of Hurun Gobal, a Beijing-based research organisation that tracks the world’s wealthiest people. Hurun Global released the Rich List 2017 on March 7, ranking 2,257 US dollar billionaires in the world. Salman, the vice-chairman of Beximco Group and also private sector development affairs adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has been ranked 1685th on the list.

The statement, quoting Salman, reads: “I am not sure how they valued my assets. But I can confirm that I do not own assets worth the said amount ($1.3bn) of money. Probably somewhat close to that amount.”
