‘Resist anti-women communal forces’

Labour leaders of the RMG sector at a meeting on Tuesday urged all pro-liberation people to come forward to resist anarchy of the anti-women communal forces who make derogatory comments about women.

They said several peddlers of the religion, anti-liberation communal and militant forces are out to take the women to the Dark Ages, denying their contributions to all sectors, including the garment industry. They are carrying out countrywide anarchy by instigating the religious sentiment of the people.

Garments Sramik Rakkha Andolon, an organisation working to promote rights of garment workers, organised the meeting at Labour Hall in the capital.

Representatives of different labour rights body called upon all garment workers to take part in the grand rally of the garment workers to be held at the capital’s Motijheel on April 27.

Labour leader ZM Quamrul Anam, among others, spoke at the meeting.
