Rapid Action Battalion(RAB) has said that it is looking into the evidence of the involvement of New Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (New JMB) in the murder of Italian citizen Tavella Cesare.
Militant Abdur Rahman, who was killed during an anti-terror drive in Ashulia on October 8, is none but Neo-JMB chief Sarwar Jahan, said RAB Director General Benazir Ahmed on Friday.
Benazir said documents recovered at Abdur Rahman’s den in Ashulia on October 8 suggest that the group may have been involved in the murder.
However, investigation will be continued in this matter.
Italian citizen Cesare Tavella was shot dead Gulshan 2 in September last year.
