President Abdul Hamid will leave here for London on Sunday night on a three-day visit to the UK to attend the 9th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF).
A regular flight of Emirates Airlines carrying the President will take off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 9:05 pm.
The 9th WIEF will be held in London on October 29-31 with the theme, ‘Changing World, New Relationships’, to encapsulate the emergence of new economic linkages between nations across borders, religions and cultures in a fast changing world.
The WIFE is a world-class business platform showcasing business opportunities in the Muslim world.
Abdul Hamid will deliver a special address at the opening ceremony of the WIEF at ExCeL London Exhibition and Convention Centre on October 29.
The President is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of other Islamic nations on the sidelines of the international conference.
On the same day, he will attend a reception followed by a gala dinner hosted by Malaysian Prime Minister Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak at Capitol Hill in London.
Prince of Wales Charles will also join the dinner with the leaders of Muslim nations.
President Hamid is also scheduled to meet expatriate Bangladeshis on October 30.
The President is expected to return home on October 31.
The President will be accompanied by secretaries of his office and other high officials of Bangabhaban.
