Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said the death of Language Movement veteran Abdul Matin is an ending of the living history.

The prime minister said the ladder of independence was founded through the great Language Movement, and “Bhasha Matin” was the one of the main warriors of that movement.
Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
Abdul Matin died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital in the capital this morning at the age of 88.
