Nine petrol bombs and three other crude bombs were recovered from the warehouse of the residence of a ruling Awami League local leader at Fulmalirchala Karimganj village under Ghatail upazila Sunday morning in the district.
Locals said the bombs were recovered from the residence of Helal Uddin, an executive member of ward 9 unit Juba League of Dhalapara union.
Helal’s younger brother Abdus Samad at first found the bombs in a packet at the straw house of their homestead. Later, locals informed the police.
Officer-in-charge (investigation) of Ghatail police station Maksudul Alam confirmed the news and said on information, police rushed to the spot and recovered nine petrol bombs and three Molotov cocktails.
The police official said they were preparing to file a case in this connection.
