Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad on Monday said the people of the country do not want to see the two ladies – Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia – in power any more.
Addressing a public gathering at Latifpur in Mithapakur upazila, the JP chief, however, said people want Jatiya Party to form the next government with people’s mandate.
Ershad said Jatiya Party needs to win 151 seats in the next general election to go to power.
About frequent shutdowns, he said people do not want to see hartal because of killing and destruction of property in arson attacks in the name of caretaker government issue.
Ershad at the gathering introduced Fakhru- uz-Zaman Jahangir as a party candidate for Mithapakur constituency in the next general election.
He went to Latifpur to see for himself the two orphans of Shahin Mia and Jannati Begum, victims of Tazreen factory fire incident.
