Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged the deputy commissioners (DC) to overcome threats and temptation in order to perform lawful duties.
She made the urge while inaugurating the Deputy Commissioner Conference 2014 at the international conference hall of Prime Minister’s Office in capital Tuesday morning.
The premier also urged everyone to work hard together for the development of the administration and government.
Talking about January 5 election, she said this was the first time that the power was handed over from an elected government to another.
Hasina gave 24 instructions to the DCs. The instructions include harmonious work between DCs and public representatives, control of daily commodity price and control of communal terrorism and militancy.
Meanwhile, the DCs also placed some demands to the prime minister including enrichment of their authority to law and order.
