Now Ducsu VP Nur, 28 others sued for attempt-to-murder

An attempt-to-murder case was filed against Ducsu VP Nurul Haque Nur and 28 others on charge of attacking Muktijuddha Mancha members at Ducsu office on December 22.
DM Sabbir Hossain, a Muktijuddha Mancha activist and former vice-president of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s Zahurul Haq Hall unit, filed the case with Shahbagh Police Station on Wednesday night, said inspector Mahbub Mia of Shahbagh Police Station, UNB reports.
Nur is the prime accused in the case while convener of Bangladesh General Students’ Rights Protection Council (BGSRPC) Hasan Al Mamun, joint conveners Md Rashed Khan, Faruk Hossain, Mashiur Rahman and APM Suhel are also among the accused in the case.
On Tuesday, Nur filed a complaint with Shahbagh Police Station against 37 people, including leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League and Muktijuddha Mancha, for attempt to kill him.
On December 22, leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Muktijuddha Mancha reportedly attacked Nur and his followers at the Ducsu office, leaving at least 28 people injured.
The attackers also threw Farabi and Suhel from the rooftop of Ducsu Building.
