The young Bangladesh sensation, who is playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League, reached the milestone in the match against Kings XI Punjab in Mohali on Sunday.
In his second delivery of the day, the 20-year-old seamer unleashed a trademark slower to snare his landmark wicket as Murali Vijay mistimed a flick and popped it to mid-off.
The dismissal took his IPL wicket-tally to 14 in 12 matches, fourth behind Mumbai’s Mitchell McClenaghan (17), teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar (16) and Kolkata’s Andre Russell (15).
Mustafizur debuted in the T20 debut Pakistan last year at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. He took two wickets in the match, including the scalp of masterblaster Shahid Afridi.
He recorded the half-century of T20 wickets in just 35 matches, with 22 of those coming for the national team and 14 for Dhaka Dynamites in the Bangladesh Premier League.
