A solid 44-run knock from Yuvraj Singh followed by some outstanding spells of bowling from both Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mustafizur proved more than enough for Sunrisers Hyderabad to knock Kolkata Knight Riders out of 2016 Indian Premier League, reports ndtv.com.
David Warner-led team will now battle it out against Gujarat Lions in Qualifier 2 to determine who faces Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final.
After being put in to bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a bad start as they lost Shikhar Dhawan in the second over of the innings.
Skipper David Warner and Moise Henriques put on a 59-run stand for the second wicket but Kuldeep Yadav then struck to remove both batsmen in quick succession.
Yuvraj Singh then came to the rescue for SRH and his brilliant knock of 44 off just 30 balls helped them put on a sizeable total of 162 for eight wickets.
