Bangladesh pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman believed his stint with Sussex will be a learning curve as he left for England on Wednesday.
The left-arm pace bowler had an anxious wait for his UK visa to join Sussex for NatWest T20 Blast and the Royal London One-Day Cup.
‘I will have many things to learn,’ Mustafiz told reporters before leaving at the Bangladesh Cricket Board premises at Mirpur.
Mustafiz had left for England by a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 10:10 am and expected to make his debut for Sussex against Essex at Chelmsford.
Tigers Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim gave an adieu to the young pace sensation in front of the BCB Academy prior to his departure to the airport.
This is Mustafiz’s second trip to the England after his maiden tour to the UK in August 2013 as a member of the Bangladesh Under-19 squad.
Sussex was also delighted to get the left-arm pace bowler eventually after a long wait.
On their official Facebook page Sussex CCC stated ‘Sussex Cricket are delighted to announce Mustafizur Rahman is due to arrive in Hove tomorrow ahead of Sussex Sharks Natwest T20 blast fixture against Essex Eagles at Chelmsford.’
‘The Bangladeshi international will be available for the remainder of both the NatWest T20 Blast and the Royal London One Day Cup competitions.’
