Terming US-Bangladesh bilateral relations as excellent US ambassador Dan W Mozena on Tuesday said his country is keen to extend all possible cooperation to Bangladesh.
“We are keen to extend all possible cooperation and support for further development of Bangladesh. I hope that the existing excellent bilateral relations will be further expanded in the days to come,” he said.
He said this while paying a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban.
The President expressed his deep shock and sorrows at the loss of lives in tornado in Oklahoma State of the US on Tuesday.
President Abdul Hamid expressed gratitude for the US support of providing artificial limbs and better treatment to the injured victims of Rana Plaza building collapse at Savar.
The President also expressed his gratitude for the US support to bring modernization in the activities of the Jatiya Sangsad.
Dan Mozena thanked the President for giving him an appointment and congratulated Abdul Hamid for becoming the 20th President of the country.
Lauding the President, Mozena said “You are the right person for the post (the President). You are a true politician and true peoples’ representative. Your country needs you right now,” he said.
Concerned secretaries of the President Office were present.
