Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia on Thursday alleged that massive loots was going on in selling rice at Tk 10 per kilogram across the country while unprivileged and poor people were being deprived of their right.
On her tweeter account she tweeted that ‘We are shocked and ashamed that affluent people of ruling Awami League are looting the poor people’s rice across the country.’
She said in 2007 during the BNP regime, they limited the prices of rice within Tk 14 to15, simultaneously they provided free rice to poor people whenever the prices went up.
‘The unelected government has snatched away food of poor people by helping the looters’, the BNP chief said on the tweet.
