The Home Minister made the remarks at Rajarbagh Police Lines this evening when his attention was drawn to some media reports that Khaleda Zia said the Army cannot play the role of silent spectators and they cannot sit idle when people are killed. “They’ll play their due role in due time,” she said.
Khaleda Zia made the remarks while addressing a wayside rally at Matidali intersection in Sadar upazila of Bogra district on Sunday.
Earlier, the Home Minister addressed a reception accorded to women freedom fighters at the Police Lines.
State Minister for Shamsul Haque Tuku, IGP Hasan Mahmud Khandker and DMP Commissioner Benazir Ahmed were also present.
