If the government tries to foil our peaceful movement for the right of vote and democracy, we will not stay calm, Khaleda says
The call for movement against the government would be made at the right time, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has said.
The BNP chief said this in a press briefing in her Gulshan office in the capital on Saturday evening.
“The movement will be peaceful against such undemocratic Awami League government as we believe in peace and harmony which is our party’s basic principle.”
“We have already lost scores of veteran leaders and activists in the hands of the autocratic Awami League and BNP will not spare anymore,” Khaleda warned.
If they try to foil our peaceful movement for the right of vote and democracy, we will not stay calm, she added.
Referring to allegations of involvement with smuggling drugs of the arrest AL MP Abdur Rahman Bodi, BNP leader alleged that Awami League is destroying the young generation of the country by making available drugs.
Khaleda also blasted the rule of Awami League for recent insecurity towards the society.
