Jubo League leader arrested for ‘raping’ teenager in Manikganj

Police on Saturday night arrested a local leader of Jubo League, youth wing of ruling party, as he allegedly raped a teenager in Kalachandpur village of Ghior upazila in Manikganj, reports UNB.
The detainee was identified as Quamrul Hasan Kamal, Jubo League leader of Ghior upazila unit.
Asharaful Islam, officer-in-charge of Ghior Police Station, said that Kamal developed a good relation with the victim’s family after he proposed to marry victim’s elder sister.
He use to travel different areas with the victim with family’s consent.
Kamal took the girl to a hotel of the capital two months back where he violated the victim and recorded indecent video footage of her.
Later, he started violating the girl frequently threatening to leak the video clip on the internet.
Victim’s father filed the case on Saturday after he noticed the video which was already disclosed on the internet by Kamal.
