The ultimatum was issued by the journalists from a rally held in front of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) at Segunbagicha in the city.
The speakers at the rally also warned that a demonstration will be held in the capital, followed by a procession on April 29 from where a tougher movement programme will be announced if their demand goes unmet by that time.
DRU president Shahed Chowdhury, secretary Elias Uddin Khan and senior journalists addressed the rally.
“We’ll stage another protest rally in front of the DRU and take out a procession from there which will parade different city streets unless our demand is met by April 28,” Elias told UNB over phone.
